Analog Astronaut Network / Analog Missions / Human Spaceflight Simulation - Linkedin Group

The Analog Astronaut Network / Analog Missions / Human Spaceflight Simulation (AAN) is a professional community dedicated to advancing research, training, and collaboration in the field of analog space exploration. This group brings together analog astronauts, mission designers, researchers, engineers, and space professionals engaged in terrestrial simulations of crewed spaceflight. Our aim is to foster interdisciplinary exchange around the scientific, psychological, operational, and technological dimensions of analog missions that inform future lunar, Martian, and deep-space human exploration.

Topics include mission architecture, life support systems, EVA protocols, behavioral health, habitat engineering, planetary science, and team dynamics in isolated and confined environments. Members are encouraged to share peer-reviewed research, mission reports, and insights from fieldwork or simulations. The group also promotes visibility and collaboration across international analog programs, including ILMAH (Inflatable Lunar/Mars Analog Habitat), HI-SEAS, SIRIUS, CHILL-ICE, D-MARS, Mars Society’s MDRS and FMARS, LunAres, Astroland Interplanetary Agency, Habitat Marte, SAM at Biosphere 2, and other terrestrial analogs that contribute to the global effort of preparing humanity for extended space habitation.
